The age of the big voyage

Christpher Colombus sailed the Atlantic Ocean with The Santa Maria in 1492. Then, he discovered an American continent. This discovery became an opportunity, and various European countries such as Spain, Portugal and England were included in the age of the big voyage which it goes for with the aim of the unknown country.
At that time, because the anchor which the whole was made from iron in was expensive, an anchor like the right figure which put wooden stock on the anchor of 2 nail was the main stream. It was in 1800's, and increased the production of the iron. Then, ships covered with iron board came to be constructed. And, various anchors came to be developed, too.
